Singapore businesses have a new way to access government support for digitalisation, automation, business transformation and overseas expansion.
The EDGE Grant is a new Enterprise Singapore grant designed to bring multiple areas of business support under one scheme. From 30 September 2026, EDGE will replace the existing Enterprise Development Grant (EDG), Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG), and Market Readiness Assistance (MRA) schemes.
For businesses looking to modernise their operations, adopt new technology, improve efficiency or expand into overseas markets, EDGE provides a more streamlined way to access funding support.

What is the EDGE Grant?
The EDGE Grant supports Singapore companies undertaking new projects to:
- Upgrade business capabilities
- Improve operational efficiency
- Adopt automation and digital solutions
- Strengthen financial and business management
- Develop innovative products and processes
- Adopt standards
- Improve sustainability
- Expand into overseas markets
The programme covers 8 business areas and more than 100 activities, allowing businesses to choose support based on their specific priorities rather than having to determine which existing grant they should apply for.
The 8 EDGE Grant business areas
Depending on the activity, businesses can seek support in areas including:
- Automation & Digitalisation
- Business Strategy
- Financial Management
- Human Capital
- Innovation
- Internationalisation
- Standards
- Sustainability
This makes EDGE particularly relevant for companies that are planning a broader business transformation rather than investing in just one isolated solution.
Benefits of the EDGE scheme
Simplified application process for local businesses
Greater accessibility and flexibility for SMEs and non-SMEs to take on projects suited to their needs
Enhanced internationalisation support removing new market criteria
Funding support of up to 50% (SMEs) or 30% (non-SMEs) of eligible costs*
Higher support levels of up to 70% for internationalisation and sustainability activities*
Note: Annual grant cap of S$100,000 per company.
How much funding can businesses receive?
EDGE provides up to 70% grant support for SMEs and up to 50% for non-SMEs, although the actual support level depends on the specific activity and eligibility requirements.
Businesses can also access up to S$100,000 in total grant support per year across all eligible EDGE activities.
The S$100,000 cap is shared across activities and is refreshed every 1 April.
For example, a company could potentially use EDGE support for multiple eligible business initiatives during the year, rather than treating each initiative as a completely separate grant application.
Important: The maximum support rate is not automatically applicable to every project. Companies should check the specific activity and eligibility requirements before starting a project.

How does EDGE compare with the previous grants?
Previously, Singapore businesses had to determine whether their project was better suited to PSG, EDG or MRA.
Each grant served a different purpose:
- PSG — supported the adoption of pre-approved productivity solutions and equipment.
- EDG — supported projects involving business upgrading, innovation and transformation.
- MRA — supported eligible overseas market expansion activities.
From 30 September 2026, these schemes will be consolidated under EDGE, creating a more streamlined grant framework. Existing EDG, MRA and PSG applications or ongoing projects will continue to be processed under their respective schemes.
This means businesses can focus more on what they want to achieve rather than first determining which grant category their project belongs to.
